Custom styles are reset after specifying an id

Question
Expected: After specifying an id, all styles added to a block will persist. Actual: After specifying an id, all styles added to a block reset.
Steps to reproduce:
- Add a new block.
- Add custom styling via style manager.
- Set and id via settings.
- Observe that all styles reset.
Reproducible in a web page demo.
